Terms of Service
Last updated: January 29, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the web application known as Keystreaks (hereinafter referred to as "the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("the User") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). This Service is developed, owned, and maintained by a developer based in Mexico. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Keystreaks. If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you are strictly prohibited from using the Service.
2. Description of Service and Disclaimer of Content
Keystreaks provides an online platform featuring typing practice tools, performance analytics, leaderboards, achievements, and customizable user profiles. Keystreaks does not display third-party advertisements or use tracking cookies. We use only essential cookies for session management and user preferences.
2.1. Random Generation of Content
The core functionality of Keystreaks relies on the automated generation of text for typing practice. You acknowledge and agree that: (a) Algorithmic Generation: The words, phrases, and text sequences presented during practice sessions are generated dynamically using a random algorithmic process drawn from a large dataset. (b) No Manual Curation: Keystreaks does not manually curate, review, or control every specific combination of words generated by the algorithm. (c) Content Disclaimer: Consequently, it is possible that the random combination of words may inadvertently result in phrases that could be construed as offensive, inappropriate, nonsensical, or controversial. Keystreaks expressly disclaims any liability or responsibility for such coincidental word combinations. The appearance of any specific word combination does not represent the views, opinions, or intent of the developer.
2.2. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we employ commercially reasonable efforts to ensure uptime, we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
2.3. Third-Party Infrastructure and Dependencies
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and service providers for hosting, deployment, content delivery, and data storage (including but not limited to cloud platform providers, content delivery networks, database services, and related infrastructure). These providers may experience outages, degraded performance, scheduled maintenance, security incidents, or other disruptions that are entirely outside the control of Keystreaks. Keystreaks is not responsible for, and cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service in the event of, failures, outages, cyberattacks, or data inaccessibility caused by third-party infrastructure providers. In such events, Keystreaks will make commercially reasonable efforts to restore service but shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience resulting from third-party service disruptions. The limitations of liability set forth in Section 11 apply in full to any disruptions attributable to third-party infrastructure.
3. Premium Accounts & Financial Terms
3.1. Pricing and Modifications
Keystreaks reserves the absolute right to modify, alter, or increase the pricing of Premium Accounts, subscriptions, or any paid features at any time. We may implement price changes without prior notice or announcement to the User. Revised prices will apply to all subsequent purchases made after the effective date of the change. We may occasionally offer promotional pricing or discounts, which may be time-limited and subject to specific terms. Education Plan pricing is fixed for the contracted period as specified in the signed Service Agreement; price modifications apply only to future Education Plan terms not yet contracted at the time of the change.
3.2. Payment Processing
All financial transactions for consumer Premium accounts are facilitated by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Keystreaks does not store, process, or possess your full credit card or banking information. By purchasing a Premium Account, you agree to be bound by Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You agree that Keystreaks shall not be liable for any issues arising from payment processing, including but not limited to declined transactions, data breaches at the processor level, or unauthorized charges. Education Plan billing is handled via invoice and direct bank transfer; Stripe is not used for Education Plan transactions (see Section 15.4).
3.3. Refund Policy
Due to the immediate digital nature of the content provided and the irrevocable release of premium features upon purchase, all consumer Premium account purchases are final. Keystreaks does not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges unless explicitly required by the consumer protection laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides (Mexico). Education Plan refund terms are governed exclusively by the signed Service Agreement between the Organization and Keystreaks.
4. Licensing and "Lifetime Access"
4.1. Grant of License (Not Ownership)
It is critical that you understand the nature of your purchase. When you purchase "Lifetime Access" or a Premium Account, you are not purchasing the software itself. You are purchasing a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, and perpetual license to access and use the premium features of the Service associated with your specific User account. This purchase does not grant you any ownership rights, title, or interest in the Keystreaks source code, object code, codebase, proprietary algorithms, database structures, or intellectual property. You strictly do not own a copy of the software. This section applies exclusively to consumer Premium accounts. Education Plan users hold an annual subscription license as described in Section 15.
4.2. Definition of "Lifetime"
The term "Lifetime" refers exclusively to the commercial lifespan of the Service, not the lifespan of the User. In the event that Keystreaks is discontinued, taken offline, ceases operations, or is deemed unviable by the developer for any reason, the "Lifetime" license shall terminate immediately. You acknowledge that the Service may not exist indefinitely, and you are not entitled to any refund or compensation should the Service be discontinued after your purchase. The "Lifetime" concept does not apply to Education Plan users; Education Plan access is an annual subscription governed by Section 15.
5. User Conduct and Integrity (Anti-Cheating Policy)
To preserve the integrity of our leaderboards and the competitive environment, Keystreaks enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding cheating. By using the Service, you agree not to:
- Utilize bots, scripts, macros, auto-typers, or any automated software to simulate typing or interaction with the Service.
- Artificially inflate typing speeds, accuracy scores, or achievements.
- Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the Service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service.
- Create multiple accounts for the purpose of manipulating rankings or evading bans.
6. Termination and Suspension
Keystreaks retains the absolute right to suspend, terminate, or ban your account at our sole discretion, at any time, and without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms. If an account is determined to be using automated tools (cheating) or violating the integrity of the Service, it will be permanently banned. If a Premium Account is banned for a violation of these Terms (including but not limited to cheating or abuse), you forfeit your license to the Service, and no refund will be issued. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through your account settings.
6.1. Education Plan Organizations
With respect to Education Plan organizations: (a) Organization-level suspension — Keystreaks may suspend the access of an entire Organization at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or material misuse of the Service. Upon suspension, all member accounts within the Organization become inaccessible. Suspension does not entitle the Organization to a refund. (b) Individual member removal — Org Admins may deactivate individual members at any time through the admin dashboard. Keystreaks may also remove individual Education Plan members for violations of these Terms, in which case the Organization's Org Admin will be notified. The removal of an individual member does not reduce the Organization's contracted seat count or subscription fee.
7. User Content and Profiles
User profiles, including usernames, avatars, statistics, and typing history, may be visible to the public. You are solely responsible for the content you submit or display. Keystreaks reserves the right, but has no obligation, to remove any content that is deemed offensive, illegal, defamatory, or in violation of these Terms. For information on how we collect and use your data, please see our Privacy Policy.
8. Age Requirements and Parental Responsibility
8.1. Minors (Ages 13-17)
The Service is intended for use by individuals aged 13 and older. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that your legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.
8.2. Parental Acknowledgments
Parents or guardians allowing minors to use the Service acknowledge and accept that: (a) The Service contains user-generated content (such as usernames and profiles) which Keystreaks does not strictly pre-screen; (b) Parents/guardians are solely responsible for monitoring their child's interaction with the Service and their public profile settings.
8.3. Education Plan Users
The Education Plan may include users under the age of 13 enrolled by a school or institution. For Education Plan users, the enrolling Organization is the responsible party for: (a) ensuring that all use of the Service by its members, including minors, complies with applicable law; (b) obtaining all required parental, guardian, or legal consents prior to enrollment; and (c) supervising minor users' interactions with the Service where required. Keystreaks does not independently verify the age of Education Plan members and relies on the Organization's representations regarding compliance with applicable laws. The parental responsibility provisions of §8.2 apply to public consumer accounts only.
9. Leaderboards and Rankings
Leaderboard rankings are calculated based on performance metrics from practice runs. We reserve the right to remove entries that appear suspicious or violate fair play policies. Leaderboard data is subject to periodic resets and recalculations. Education Plan members' activity data is scoped to their Organization and is accessible to their Org Admin and any Educators who follow them within the platform; Education Plan members do not appear on public leaderboards unless they individually opt in.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
All title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the Service (including but not limited to the codebase, design, layout, graphics, logos, algorithms, and documentation) remain the exclusive property of the developer. Unauthorized copying, modification, distribution, or creation of derivative works based on the Service is strictly prohibited.
11. Limitation of Liability
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KEYSTREAKS, ITS DEVELOPER, AFFILIATES, OR PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER BASIS, EVEN IF KEYSTREAKS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Mexican States (Mexico), without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Mexico. You hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
13. Modifications to Terms
Keystreaks reserves the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will indicate when changes have been made. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
14. Contact Information
If you have any questions regarding these Terms of Service, please contact us at: support@keystreaks.com
15. Education Plan Terms
The following terms apply exclusively to organizations that have entered into an Education Plan with Keystreaks. In the event of any conflict between this section and the rest of these Terms, this section prevails for Education Plan users.
15.1. Definition and Scope
The Keystreaks Education Plan is an organization-level annual subscription that grants a defined number of seats (active user accounts) access to the premium features of the Service. The Education Plan is intended for schools, universities, and other educational institutions (each an "Organization"). Access under the Education Plan is granted to the Organization as a whole, not to individuals. Individual users may not independently purchase, activate, or transfer Education Plan access.
15.2. User Roles
The Education Plan defines three roles within each Organization: (a) Org Admin — the school-designated account holder responsible for managing the Organization's subscription, creating and deactivating member accounts, and overseeing member activity. The Org Admin is the Organization's primary contact and accountable party with Keystreaks. Each Organization must maintain at least one active Org Admin at all times. (b) Educator — a teacher or staff member who may access the typing progress data of students they voluntarily choose to follow within the platform. Educators have no billing or administrative access. (c) Student — an end-user enrolled by the Organization whose access is fully contingent on the Organization's active subscription and available seats. Students cannot independently purchase, activate, or transfer access.
15.3. Organizational Responsibility
The Organization and its Org Admin are solely responsible for: (a) ensuring all members comply with these Terms; (b) obtaining any parental, guardian, or legal consent required by applicable law before enrolling minors; (c) not enrolling individuals outside the Organization; (d) maintaining the confidentiality of member credentials, invite codes, and access links; and (e) ensuring that the Organization's use of the Service is lawful under applicable local law. Keystreaks shall not be liable for any harm resulting from the Organization's failure to fulfill these responsibilities.
15.4. Subscription and Billing
The Education Plan is offered as an annual subscription priced on a per-seat basis. Billing is handled via invoice and direct bank transfer; automated payment processors (such as Stripe) are not used for Education Plan transactions. The subscription period commences on the date specified in the signed Service Agreement and runs for twelve (12) consecutive months. Payment is due in full prior to service activation unless otherwise specified in the Service Agreement. Keystreaks reserves the right to modify Education Plan pricing for future subscription terms not yet contracted.
15.5. Seat Management
Seats represent the maximum number of concurrently active member accounts permitted under the Organization's subscription. The Org Admin is responsible for managing seat assignments through the admin dashboard. Deactivated accounts retain their practice data but cannot access the Service. Exceeding the contracted seat count requires the purchase of additional seats before new members may be activated.
15.6. Pre-Purchase Option
Organizations may elect to pre-purchase one or more additional consecutive annual terms at the then-current price at the time of the original agreement or renewal. Price lock applies only to pre-purchased terms that are consecutive and uninterrupted. Keystreaks reserves the right to modify pricing for any terms not yet contracted at the time of a pricing change.
15.7. Subscription Expiry and Data Retention
Upon subscription expiry, Organization access is suspended and all member accounts become inaccessible. Practice data and account records are retained for sixty (60) days following the expiry date to allow for renewal without data loss. If the subscription is not renewed within this grace period, Keystreaks may permanently delete all Organization and member data. Keystreaks shall not be liable for any data loss resulting from non-renewal. Organizations that require data export before subscription expiry must contact support@keystreaks.com prior to the expiry date.
15.8. Relationship to the Service Agreement
Organizations must execute a Service Agreement prior to activating the Education Plan. The Service Agreement references and incorporates these Terms by reference. In the event of a conflict, the Service Agreement governs commercial terms (pricing, seat count, and payment schedule); these Terms govern usage, user conduct, data practices, and technical matters. By signing the Service Agreement, the authorized representative of the Organization confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms on behalf of the Organization.
15.9. Educator-Uploaded Content
The Education Plan may allow Educators to upload custom text files (such as word banks, reading excerpts, or similar material) for use by students within their Organization during typing practice sessions. By uploading any content to the Service, the Educator represents and warrants that: (a) they are the sole owner of the uploaded content, or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and consents from the copyright owner(s) or author(s) to upload, distribute, and make the content available to students within the platform; (b) the content does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party; and (c) the upload and distribution of the content complies with all applicable laws, including but not limited to copyright law and applicable licensing agreements. Keystreaks does not review, monitor, or pre-screen educator-uploaded content before or after upload. Keystreaks is not liable for any copyright infringement, licensing violation, or other third-party rights violation arising from content uploaded by an Educator. Full legal responsibility for the legality, licensing, and distribution rights of all uploaded content rests solely with the Educator and, ultimately, their Organization. Keystreaks reserves the right to remove any content that is reported as infringing or is otherwise determined to violate these Terms, but assumes no obligation to proactively monitor or audit uploaded content.
